“ABA” Participates in High-Level Reform Dialogue

????In a consultative meeting led by Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan Elkhatib and Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk, the government outlined ambitious reforms linked to the World Bank Business Ready Report.
????Minister ElKhatib emphasized Egypt’s goal of joining the top 50 countries in the report, highlighting measures to streamline customs and foreign trade, including reducing clearance time to just two days with future to shorten this further.
????Minister Kouchouk announced a comprehensive package of 25 new tax measures and amendments to the Customs Law aimed at simplifying procedures and modernizing ports, reinforcing Egypt’s commitment to improving its #investment climate.
???? Representing the private sector, Mohamed Hanno, ABA Chairman, praised the reform agenda, noting that it reflects many of the private sector’s priorities. He also stressed the importance of strong implementation mechanisms and presented a detailed memorandum of additional proposals prepared by ABA committees to further support reforms and enhance Egypt’s competitiveness.
