Green Impact Mediterranean (GIMED)
A 3 years EU funded green innovation project signed in October 2019 implemented in Egypt by ABA and by other partners in 4 other countries: Italy, Lebanon, Tunisia, Palestine.
- GIMED Egypt ran 2 eco-innovation competitions through which we reached more than 500 green innovators in 7 governorates
- Trained -using a dedicated online tool- 45 entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and 43 early-stage start ups on Green Business Planning and Modelling, Eco-design, Access to Market and Access to Finance
- Built Innovation Partnerships with 7 leading busnesses such as SODIC, IKEA & Nestle
- Delivered one-on-one coaching to the best 40 innovators and early-stage ventures to prepare them for competing for Euro 60,000 grants to the top 8
- Awarded 8 Ideas and 8 Start ups Euro 7500 grant each, to support their market entry and business growth plans.
- Organized 4 investment events for 40 entrepreneurs to pitch and access finance for their ventures from 8 VCs and 3 angel investors
