About Center
Vocational Training and Employment Center (VTEC) was established as part of the state’s efforts to develop Slum areas through the creation of new urban communities built on advanced infrastructure and the development of human capital. Within this framework, the Northern Military Region invited civil society organizations to participate in implementing projects aimed at advancing these communities.
Vocational Training and Employment Center (VTEC) was established as part of the state’s efforts to develop informal areas through the creation of new urban communities built on advanced infrastructure and the development of human capital. Within this framework, the Northern Military Region invited civil society organizations to participate in implementing projects aimed at advancing these communities.
The Center offers 12 free vocational workshops, including: carpentry, welding, refrigeration and air conditioning, job readiness skills, hospitality, culinary arts, plumbing, ready-made garment tailoring, automotive repair, electrical installations, and classical control systems.
Since its establishment, the Center has successfully facilitated employment for 3,391 individuals, provided training to 10,060 beneficiaries, and served 12,944 job seekers.
Within vocational training and employment center, several specialized working units operate to support integrated development, including:
- A Dual Education Unit
- A Business Development Services (BDS) Unit
- A Handicrafts Workshop and Exhibition
The Center also hosts a dedicated Technical Employment Office for skilled workers (“blue-collar” professionals), connecting trained talents with labor market opportunities.
In addition, the Center maintains active cooperation with several international partners, including the World Food Programme (WFP), the National Bank of Egypt, further strengthening its impact and outreach.
