GTP- Alliance of green transformation
Green Transformation Partners Coalition
Formed by a group of Egyptian private sector companies, the GTP Alliance was launched in June 2022 within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Alexandria Business Association. The alliance aims to enhance cooperation and foster an enabling environment that encourages the private sector to pursue green transformation and invest in more sustainable sectors.
Vision
To inspire the Egyptian private sector to adopt green transformation.
- To date, the coalition brings together 22 companies, organizations, and strategic partners from the Egyptian private sector, operating across key sectors including energy, transport, energy and waste recycling, real estate development, sustainable finance, and civil society work.
- Members of the Green Transformation Coalition have already adopted green transformation policies or taken concrete steps toward measuring and managing their carbon footprint. Seven members have completed the measurement of their Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions, while two members have completed Scope 3 measurements.
- Members of the coalition have met with the Erada Initiative to identify regulatory reforms related to converting diesel buses to electric buses, transforming waste into energy companies, and methane capture in the oil industry.
