Collaborating for Impact: UN Delegation Visits ABA’s Vocational Training & Employment Center Following the Signing of a Cooperation Protocol with “World Food Program”

????Alexandria business Association, headed by Mr. Mohamed Hanno, ABA Chairman, and in the presence of His Excellency Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed, Governor of Alexandria, hosted a United Nations delegation consisting of 25 ambassadors from the heads of the organization’s executive councils, including the World Food Programme, at the association’s Vocational Training & Employment Center – VTEC to visit the center’s workshops and review the joint action plan between the association and the World Food Program to #train#Egyptians and #refugees.

????The governor of #Alexandria explained the state’s role in providing opportunities for refugees in cooperation with #UN agencies with the aim of providing job opportunities and enhancing their role. He praised the role of “ABA” in building competencies and providing training services in cooperation with “WFP”.

????Hanno said that “VTEC” center is one of the association’s centers that supports the community and slum areas that the state has developed in cooperation with the governorate to provide opportunities for Egyptians and refugees, pointing to the provision of training that keeps pace with the development of future jobs.

????ABA chairman praised the association’s signing of a cooperation protocol with “WFP” aimed at supporting Egypt’s strategy to provide training that meets the needs of the #labor market.

Elisa Golberg, President of the Executive Board, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations Agencies in Rome, noted the World Food Program’s commitment to working with the government to support citizens in reducing the pressures faced by refugees and praised the training provided in collaboration with Alexandria Businessmen at “#VTEC”.
