Alexandria Business Association (#ABA) convened a high-level meeting with a French business delegation, chaired by Mr. Mohamed Hanno, Chairman of ABA, to explore avenues for enhancing industrial and commercial cooperation between #Egypt and #France.

Discussions focused on advancing collaboration across strategic sectors, particularly water management, energy, industrial technology, and innovation solutions.
The French delegation highlighted their expertise in delivering integrated solutions for industrial development, supporting SMEs, and upgrading manufacturing capabilities in line with global market demands. They also emphasized their commitment to expanding partnerships in Africa especially in sustainability-driven sectors such as water treatment and energy.
Mr. Mohamed Hanno welcomed the collaboration, underscoring the importance of aligning industrial priorities to enable targeted B2B engagements and maximize partnership outcomes. He also highlighted the growing demand in Alexandria for infrastructure projects, particularly in water and wastewater, alongside key industries including food processing, chemicals, packaging, plastics, and pharmaceuticals.
The meeting also shed light on ongoing cooperation between ABA and the South of France, including the development of the Fab Lab project at the Faculty of Engineering (Phase II). The discussion addressed key challenges in plastic recycling and emphasized the importance of linking academic research with real business needs.
In parallel, ABA is actively engaged in discussions with Alexandria University to establish an advanced technology center aimed at fostering innovation and aligning academic outputs with industrial development.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Youssef Khaled, ABA Board Member, and Mr. Mohamed Issa, ABA Executive Director.
