Alexandria Business Association and ExxonMobil Egypt celebrated the graduation of 15 young technicians in the fields of plumbing, carpentry, and satellite dish maintenance.

Alexandria Business Association and ExxonMobil Egypt celebrated the graduation of 15 young technicians in the fields of plumbing, carpentry, and satellite dish maintenance.

On Monday, May 15th, Alexandria Business Association and ExxonMobil Egypt celebrated the graduation of 15 young technicians in the fields of plumbing, carpentry, and satellite dish maintenance.

The ceremony took place at Vocational Training and Employment Center VTEC. During his opening speech, Mr. Mohamed Hanno ABA chairman explained how the young men benefited from the training programs. In addition to the technical training, the trainees undergone work readiness and occupational safety and health programs to be ready to enter the labor mark.

In his speech, Mr. Youssef Hafez – ExxonMobil Egypt Public and Government Affairs Manager and board member, introduced the role played by ExxonMobil to support technicians, through their partnership with Alexandria Business Association. The ceremony was ended by the closing speech of Mr. Adham Koretam – ABA Executive Director, emphasizing the importance of the strategic partnership with ExxonMobil Egypt in supporting technicians and clarifying the role played by Alexandria Business Association through Training and vocational employment center in the implementation of training programs to support young people.

Certificates of completion of training in the fields of plumbing, carpentry and satellite dish maintenance were distributed on the trainees, in addition to the tools needed to complete their technical career, as gifts from ExxonMobil Egypt.

Alexandria Business Association discusses the challenges of the logistics sector with the World Bank

Alexandria Business Association held a meeting with the international expert, Mr. Jean Francois Arvis, the Chief Expert in Transport and Trade-Related Logistics at the World Bank, with the aim of identifying the challenges facing logistics services and how to develop this important and influential sector in the trade cycle.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments adopted by the Egyptian government regarding the foreign trade movement, especially with regarding the pre-registration of shipments and reliance on the electronic circulation of documents with the Egyptian Customs Authority. The Several ongoing investments in Egyptian ports and their positive impact on foreign trade movement were also discussed.
