ABA organized a meeting with Major General Reda Ismail, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Head of the Maritime Transport Sector

On Tuesday 11/14/2023 through the Transport and Logistics Committee headed by Eng. Mohamed Hassan Abdel Qader, with the purpose of shedding light on the current investments in Egyptian ports and investment opportunities and giving an overview of the developments in Yacht Tourism and Maritime Transport.
Major General Reda Ismail explained the new strategy for the Maritime Transport Sector for the year 2024, including the Green Strategy, Digital Strategy, and the strategy of Reducing the Carbon footprint.
Moreover, the challenges were discussed along with all the incentives, efforts, improvements and projects taking place in the sector such as the RORO terminal proposal to link Europe to Egypt’s ports, the development of Yacht Tourism in Egypt, development of the Electronic Platform with the aim of facilitating the completion of procedures for receiving Touristic Yachts, and the Unified Code that was issued to regulate Foreign Yacht Tourism in Egyptian Marinas and Seaports.
The meeting was held and headed by Mr. Mohammed Hanno – ABA Chairman, and with the attendance of the Committee’s Deputies, and a group of distinguished members of the association and distinguished guests.
