Alexandria Business Association Praises Governor’s Leadership in High-Level Meeting

Alexandria Business Association (ABA), chaired by Mr. Mohamed Hanno, held an extensive meeting yesterday with Alexandria Governor Vice Admiral Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed to review ongoing development efforts, major challenges, and future plans aimed at restoring Alexandria’s historic position and strengthening its #economic role across multiple sectors.

#ABA reaffirmed its full support for the Governor’s efforts to elevate the city and reinforce its status as Egypt’s second capital.

During the meeting, Mr. Hanno commended the Governor for his commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and effectively managing the city’s limited resources.
He praised the Governor’s data-driven approach to identifying problems and developing solutions, as well as his firm handling of urgent issues and his strong push toward digital transformation.

Hanno called on ABA members to enhance cooperation with Alexandria’s local authorities and contribute practical proposals that support the state’s development agenda. He emphasized the Association’s full backing of the Governor’s vision for the future of Alexandria.

Governor Ahmed Khaled outlined a comprehensive plan to improve Alexandria’s quality of life, including integrating the city into the Universal Health Insurance System by 2025, upgrading transport and traffic, and rehabilitating 659 roads with more expansion underway.

He highlighted advances in flood management, education, and housing, including reduced class density and improved conditions for polluted areas residents which helped earn Alexandria the 2025 Seoul Smart Cities Award.

During a wide-ranging discussion moderated by Mr. Mohamed Hanno, ABA members presented recommendations to enhance digital services, improve bridges and bus stations, and strengthen Alexandria’s waste management system.
The meeting concluded with a call for continued cooperation between the business community and local authorities to accelerate Alexandria’s progress.

The meeting was attended by senior representatives from the governorate and ABA Board Members including Dr. Abdel Moneim Hafez, Dr. Mohamed Mehrem, Vice-Chairmen of the Board; Mr. Haytham elkayar, Secretary General; Mr. Mohamed El kersh, Assistant Treasurer; Dr. Mohamed Ghatouri, Board Advisor; as well as Board Members Eng. Mohamed Khaled Morsi, Eng. Mohamed Arafa , Eng. Mustafa Karam, Ms. Nermien Mamish , and several esteemed ABA members.
