The Energy Committee of the Alexandria Businessmen Association, headed by Eng. Ashraf Nossier, organized a meeting with Prof. Dr. Akram Soliman – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) with the aim of discussing the role of the business community towards achieving innovative solutions in the field of renewable energy through the Global Program for Sustainable Development in Ports, in the presence of Prof. Sherine Shafik – Head of the Graduate Studies Department at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Prof. Dr. Sherine Mostafa – President of the International Scientific Association for Women in Engineering and Technology On Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Mehrem – ABA Vice Chairman, Eng. Marwan Al-Sammak, ABA Board Member, Mr. Khaled Jasser -Deputy Head of the Energy Committee, Dr. Fatima Abu Shouk – Deputy Head of the Energy Committee and a group of members of the Association and guests.
Dr. Akram Soliman discussed with the attendees the importance of using wind and solar energy as renewable energy sources to generate clean energy in Egyptian ports to reduce carbon emissions, and this is considered one of the most important ways to implement the Global Program for Sustainable Development in Egypt.
