Alexandria Business Association signed MOU between the Vocational Training and Employment Center “VTEC” and Workforce Egypt USAID on Wednesday 27th September 2023.
 
The Cooperation was in the provision of technical assistance and capacity building to help VTEC strengthen its business model, develop, and implement trainings, develop employment and marketing strategies adopt effective monitoring and evaluation tools, obtain necessary accreditation, and help ensure its financial sustainability.
 
The MOU between both parties agreed on:
• Building the capacity of the VTEC staff.
 • Assisting in finding job opportunities for job seekers and professional calibers to employers.
• Providing technical assistance to enhance quality control and assist in obtaining accreditation to become a certified center for training services.
 
It is worth mentioning that the Vocational Training and Employment Centre VTEC offers specialized training programs for apprenticeships based on employment by contracting with companies to raise the capacity of the employees.
The Workforce Egypt project is governed by the bilateral agreement between the Government of Egypt (GOE) and the US Government: “Trade and Investment Promotion in Egypt”, which aims at enhancing and strengthening the skills, productivity, and employability of the Egyptian workforce through the establishment of institutional sustainable mechanisms that can bridge the gap between both supply and demand sides in the Egyptian labor market
