Alexandria Businessmen Association held a meeting headed by Mr. Mohamed Hanno, ABA Chairman and Eng. Medhat El Kady, and Dr Abdel Menem Hafez, ABA Chairman Deputies, on September 7th , 2023, with Mr. Anwar Fawzi, Head of the RTA, with the aim of discussing problems related to Real Estate Taxes facing industrial and commercial establishments, Civil associations, the tax exemption law and the applicable fines in the event of non-payment of the due tax .
Our Guests were Mr. Ashraf Shalaby, Advisor to the Head of RTA, Dr. Fidaa Fouad, Assistant Head of the RTA, Hussein Hammadi, Head of the RTA District in Alexandria, and Ashraf El Basha, General Manager of Buildings in the RTA District in Alexandria.
Mr. Anwar Fawzi discussed the problems of Real Estate Taxes facing companies in various fields and declares the issuance of a group of new tax legislations to be implemented soon. These legislations will address 90% of the problems that exist at the present time. Other amendments are being made to some of the existing ones, to keep pace with the new changes occurring in the working environment of the industrial and commercial sectors.
